Dissolution

The procedure for the dissolution and the financial implications of a civil partnership is essentially the same as divorce. The equivalent of a petition for divorce is known as an “application for dissolution”.

One difference between dissolution and divorce is adultery is not grounds for dissolution. The other four grounds applicable to divorce remain available.
